Nuclear Onsite Health & Safety Specialist

Locations: Ontario and New Brunswick

Nuclear Onsite Health & Safety Supervision for large nuclear construction site; oversee all trades/subcontractors to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation; develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures and all related administrative controls; conduct job hazard analysis for all job tasks and ensure development and implementation of safe work practices and procedures for each; ensure use of required personal protective equipment; ensure implementation of emergency evacuation and rescue plans; elimination of unsafe work practices; develop site specific safety plans and procedures; issue safe work permits; conduct site inspections and sampling and complete inspection reports; assess and ensure completion of all required safety training; arrange and/or conduct onsite safety training and safety talks; conduct accident and incident investigations and report completion; manage accident reporting, early return to work and modified work plans.

Nuclear Site Construction/Health and Safety Management experience a MUST; knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Construction Regulations and/or US OSHA and related regulations, and/or similar. Orange Badge Training Preferred. CSIS and Police Clearance required.

Pipeline Onsite Health & Safety Specialist

Locations: Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick

Large pipeline construction sites; oversee all trades/subcontractors to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation; develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures and all related administrative controls; conduct job hazard analysis for all job tasks and ensure development and implementation of safe work practices and procedures for each; ensure use of required personal protective equipment ; ensure implementation of emergency evacuation and rescue plans; elimination of unsafe work practices; develop site specific safety plans and procedures; issue safe work permits; conduct site inspections and sampling and complete inspection reports; assess and ensure completion of all required safety training; arrange and/or conduct onsite safety training and safety talks; conduct accident and incident investigations and report completion; manage accident reporting, early return to work and modified work plans.

Pipeline construction or related field preferred. Onsite construction safety and/or risk management experience required, and Construction Regulations and/or US OSHA and related regulations, and/or similar.
